“God’s love for us is so incredibly intense that if we truly understood this, we’d do everything in our power to seek Him first and foremost in our lives.” I wrote that statement in my last blog ~ “He is a Jealous God” ~ and it stuck with me all week. How much do we really understand God’s love?
The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing. (Zephaniah 3:17)
God isn’t distant and impersonal. He is in our midst ~ He will save ~ He rejoices ~ He loves you and me ~ He wants a relationship with us!
God is so rich in mercy and he loved us so much that even though we were dead because of our sin, He gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (Ephesians 2:4-5)
God’s love is steadfast ~ it never changes and it will never cease.
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh faints for You, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary, beholding Your power and glory. Because Your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise You. So I will bless You as long as I live; in Your name I will lift up my hands. (Psalm 63: 1-4)
We ought to hunger and thirst for MORE of Jesus. Pursuing Christ so that we know Him better is essential for us as Christians.
Let’s seek after Him every single day!
Please tell me what you think. I’d love to hear from you.
God Bless You!
