Walking With Excellence

I’ve been working diligently on a blog about handling the stress of homeschooling but I’m not quite ready to launch this particular post.  So I thought I’d share something else that’s on my mind and post the homeschooling one another time.

I mentioned this verse in my blog “Calling All Overworked and Under-Appreciated Moms (4 Reminders),” but it continues to be on my heart so I thought I’d share my thoughts further.

The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish tears it down with her own hands.  Proverbs 14:1

One way a woman can build her house is by being an excellent wife and mother.

Who is an excellent woman who builds her house without tearing it down? Here are some examples taken from my favorite passage on the subject ~ Proverbs 31.

~ She is blameless and virtuous.

~ She has strength, ability, efficiency, wealth, and courage.

~ She is more valuable than jewels.

~ Her husband trusts her and he will lack nothing.

~ She does her husband good and not evil all the days of her life.

~ She works hard in delight.

~ She is not lazy.

~ She is wise and kind.

~ She takes care of her family.

~ She has strength and dignity and she’s prepared for the future.

~ She fears the Lord.

Life happens and gets hectic which often reveals our vulnerability and imperfections.  But that’s the exciting part about walking with the Lord. We can seek Him and trust Him everyday to make us excellent!

Be encouraged and may the Lord bless you today, my friend!
