There is a joyful life waiting for those who do not follow the ways of the world but who follow the will of the Lord. They delight in blessing the Lord, and loving people around them. They desire to honor the Lord with their lives and they put their family first.
Oh the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with scoffers. But they delight in doing everything the Lord wants, day and night they think about his law. They are like trees planted along the riverbank bearing fruit each season without fail. Their leaves never wither. Psalm 1: 1-2
How can we live a life that bears fruit?
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your might and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. Luke 10:27
Spend time with God everyday by meditating on His word and spending time in prayer. Put your family first.
Be joyful with your family and with the people you see.
We have peace from God. Let the peace of God rule in your hearts. Seek after peace and seek after God.
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do no let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
Be patient and kind with your family and with others. If you find yourself impatient ~ PRAY!
Take a deep breathe and recite verses to help with patience.
Be kind to one another. Forgive each other just as God has forgiven us. Teach kindness to your children so they can learn unselfishness.
~ Be a good person
~ Be genuine
~ Be confident
~ Be attentive
~ Be thoughtful
~ Compliment others
~ Don’t seek the approval of others
~ Encourage others
Be faithful in all things, even in the little things. Your family depends on you to be strong and constant. You are making a difference. Keep it up!
Be gentle with others. Be careful what you say, how you treat others and how you come across to the people in your life. We are to be an example of Jesus to the world. He came not to teach everyone a lesson, but to take on the wrath of God for OUR SINS!
Have self control with your habits, with your emotions and with your behavior. We are an example to the people in our lives. They’re watching us!
I know I’m preaching to the choir and you probably have a good handle on these things already. But I thought I’d write about how we can bear fruit to glorify God in our lives as a reminder to us all. Not only do we honor the Lord, but we bless the people we love the most. We are also a testimony of Christ to a very lost world!
Write me and let me know your thoughts!
Also: please let me know what you’d like me to write about. Do you want to hear about homeschooling, money, organization, health and wellness, marriage, recipes, or more? Let me know! I’m running out of ideas!
Health and Wellness Tip
Here are some ideas if you’re a mom who has no energy, needs a nap every day, or has trouble sleeping at night.
~ Exercise (or walk)
~ Eat fruits and vegetables every day
~ Don’t drink your calories and stay away from caffeine
~ Drink plenty of water
~ Take your vitamins and probiotics
~ Try Plexus Slim
I know these things are TOTALLY common sense stuff but how often do we really do these things on a regular basis. Consider this a friendly reminder. By the way ~ these reminders are for me too! When I saw my kidney surgeon at my last appointment, he stressed the importance of everything I mentioned above. Then he asked me if I was doing these things. Ummmmmm…. maybe…sometimes? See what I mean?
Thank you and God bless!
